This book is created using mixed mediums including cyanotype on fabric, stitching, embroidery, etc. The piece as a whole is meant to focus on an internalized lack of self identity and instability of emotions. Without being able to rely on certain emotions as a constant it is hard to hold a strong sense of self and understanding of who you are. I also wanted to bring light to the intensity of emotions when they are felt and the lack of control over reactions to them, ultimately leading to regret and frustration in the long run.

I chose these mediums because I wanted the blue of the cyanotype to bring unity to the piece, showing that all these emotions are felt within one vessel. I wanted each of the page's content to be unique and exist separately from the next in order to highlight how easily one feeling can change to something completely different. Through the stitching and embroidery I hoped to convey the loose construction of oneself's identity through other means.
